Desorden Publico is one of the most famous and well-known pop music bands in Venezuela, and is recognized worldwide as one of the main exponents of “Ska” music in Latin America. Formed in 1985, this band is a pioneer in its genre and is considered to be one of the longest lasting and most influential “Ska” bands in the region. They have played at innumerable festivals and tours throughout the World. Their songs are considered classics of contemporary Latin music and they have reached the highest levels of sales, winning multiple gold and platinum records.
Mad Kick was in charge of the art direction, design and photography for the latest Desorden Publico album, titled “Los Contrarios” (2011). His work consisted of creating the artwork for the album cover, designing the sleeve notes, the CD-packaging, and directing the promotional photo-shoots of the band, incorporating the album artwork. “Los Contrarios” went on to win a Platinum record in Venezuela.
Mad Kick also went on to design and create a series of single recordings for the group, as well as a DVD of the groups European tour, together with promotional and advertising material related to the launch of the album, visual material for the tour, posters, press kits, stationary, merchandise and billboards, amongst others.
