Wounded Warrior Project

Wounded Warrior Project

Created in Adobe Illustrator & Adobe InDesign

Target Audience:
Injured/recovering soldiers, veterans, both male and female from all branches, all military families, and patriotic supporters.

Process:
The assignment was to choose a non-profit organization and create posters, a brochure, and a magazine layout (not shown). We chose the Wounded Warrior Program, an organization designed to help service men and women returning from the military who were injured in Iraq or Afghanistan. I took on the role of layout designer, while my teammates Edwardo Martinez was the Lead Designer, and Loren Newman was the Researcher. We all three worked together to come up with the 3 posters using toy soldiers. We were trying to get the point across that war is not a game, and that there are those who suffer from war.
I designed the lay of the posters, chose where to put the toy soldier, what toy soldier to use for what saying, the right place for the quote to go, and the headline/tagline. Loren helped with finding the facts that went with what we needed, and Edwardo chose the font and the final colors of the posters. We all had a role to play and we worked well as a team, we accomplished the objective.
