As the life of an artist progresses, they develop a style. But how? I believe we go through life looking to people, places and things as inspiration and consciously, or sometimes unconsciously, picking and choosing those things that peak our interest. 

 

Appropriation art visually shows evidence of this. Appropriation is a way of inventing a new viewpoint by strategically “borrowing and recontextualizing” images that previously existed. I created this art by appropriating influential images from different sites on the internet and transformed them by using the method of creating new aesthetics through defacement and destruction.
