Le Mans 1955 – Digital Storytelling

The Story

Exactly 60 years ago, the biggest tragedy in motorsport history took place during the famous 24-hour race in Le Mans, France. Over 80 people died on that day in an accident that shaped modern motorsport in many ways. We wanted to tell the story that led up to this disaster, the tragedy itself and the consequences learnt.
The Design

The website features a clean, very magazine-like design with a focus on typography, editorial content and interactive information graphics to step back behind and fully support the storytelling.
 The Code

The website was not only concepted and designed within five days, but also coded from scratch. Remember Le Mans is fully responsive and looks great on all devices.
