Metro is an international newspaper with strong global presence across 4 continents, 120 cities, and 22 countries.
Its audience is composed by 17.6 million young, active, urban and well-educated daily readers: The Metropolitans.
 
In cities like Rome, Paris, Hong Kong, Moscow, São Paulo, Stockholm, Toronto, New York, Athens, Mexico City, London and Bogota, different morning routines take place between waking up and going to work. But all of them have something in common: reading Metro.
 
Metro asked for a new global brand positioning, with a message that works across the globe.
We developed the new positioning and actions to launch the new concept, speaking directly to the Metropolitans:

The Global Breakfast Experience
 
Good Morning Metropolitans Coffee Shop it's a pop-store that serves breakfast from all over the world.
The menu changes according to the place where it is still morning, following the global time zone.
The Metropolitans can have a global experience of eating the traditional breakfast from a city where it is morning, seeing the livestream of the sun rinsing and reading the local news headlines.
The sun is always rising somewhere in the world. And in there, there is probably someone reading Metro.
The website has a livestream of a rising sun at one of the main cities in which Metro is edited, and it changes according to the global time zone.
You can follow the rising sun and also read the Metro local edition.
It's also available for mobile.
The sun rising panels are located in the main cities in which Metro is present, with a livestreaming from the sun rising around the world.
The Metropolitan Breakfast Exchange is an online experience in which the Metropolitans can share their breakfast online and receive the image from another Metropolitan's breakfast around the world.
