Macy's is attempting to move in a new direction for their Macy's By Appointment department. This new generation of by appointment shopping brings a fresh approach to the heritage of the Macy’s personal shopping experience. I helped select the finish materials, create the construction documents, and create new fixtures for the Macy's By Appointment Department.

Many of the Macy's By Appointment locations are within existing Macy's stores. This updated floorplan had the most generous floorspace available which enabled the design team the most amount of flexibility. The plan consists of a grand entrance with a mannequin display, a waiting area, a back of house area for associates to prepare specific outfits for clients, and two dressing rooms with ample space for a wall display and seating area.

Simple grey paint adorns most of the walls providing the perfect backdrop for accent features. Black scrolled wallpaper coupled with a pop of color give this space an exciting and millenial atmosphere.

For some of the locations that were too small for a back of house area for associates, a reception desk was needed. The solution to this problem was the Style Bar. An area that promotes the new Macy's By Appointment location where customers could approach an associate, make an appointment, and begin creating a style profile for their appointment. After trying on new clothes the customer can also check out at this location.
