Jo Nesbo's crime novel Redbreast is about an investigation of neo-Nazi activity in Norway.
The metaphor of the bird, robin redbreast, is used in the introduction of the novel. It references the blood on the feathers of the bird as it pulled a thorn from Christ's brow, the wound caused by the crown of thorns.
