The idea for this logo started with a sketch of what the restaurant owners wanted to portray...
I started by designing and giving life to "Don Tenedor", whose last name is Chimichurri. He is the Chef and owner of the Restaurant. I wanted to give him a friendly face that welcomed everyone to the Chimichurri's House/Restaurant. I added the mustache to give him a mature and reliable expression. I also gave him a chef's hat and the handkerchief so that he could give off a sense of authority and ownership.
After designing Don Tenedor, I gave life to Doña Cuchara, his wife. I gave her a friendly and welcoming expression asjust like I did for her husband. Doña Cuchara is a chef and owner of La Casa de Los Chimichurri. They work together and make the best team. It's a couple that is always happy and wants to give the best customer service by expressing joy.
I placed them together to give the restaurant a family oriented feeling.
Chimichurri is a piquant sauce or marinade traditionally used on grilled meat. La Casa de los Chimichurri specializes in making different types of chimichurri sauce to combine it with all the different meats they serve.

Menu - This menu is different and unique because it includes different plates every day of the week.

I designed this banner so that everyone that walks into the restaurant can see the menu up close.
