Leger at Dawn Event

Leger at Dawn
Finding harmony between Leger's paintings, nature, and light.
This project was to plan an event for the painter, Leger's work to be displayed at the Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh. Created with my partner, Jiwon Choi, the event became about light. The party would start in the middle of the night and go into the sunrise and then the daytime. The visitors could view Leger's work and the foliage in artificial and daylight and every-light in between.

For the event we created banners to be hang around the city to advertise the event, tickets, a tea set to be sold at the event, and a morning journal to be given out at the event. The colors were inspired by the night, dawn, and daytime. The patterns were inspired by Leger's grid and the flowers at Phipps. The tickets given are based on what time of day the visitors come to the event to be kept as proof of their Leger dedication.
These are the banners created to advertise the event.
The cover of the journal to use during the event and take as a gift, afterward.
The inside front cover with a poem about the dawn and a biography of Leger
