Textils patterns for Front Row Society

My first experiment with patterns for fabrics that lead me to discover new ideas and mix media techniques.
Walking in the park

Through Colors in the Park, I was able to grasp different seasons in one single design. Inspired by the constantly changing colors that embrace the trees and flowers during the different seasons in time, Colors in the Park is the perfect combination between pastel colors and strong lines.
Even Kiss

This fun pattern started with the pink lips, which slowly began to morph into a butterfly motif as I developed additional imagery for this project. I like the idea of taking something familiar and appropriating it into a completely new visual context. This surreal use of imagery perfectly suited a collage print, leading me to create a cloud umbrella and an uncanny colorful space backdrop.
Asleep

This design was based on a question: asleep, with our eyes closed, do we dream in color? I wanted to give the face a dreamlike quality, and I thought of people playing with photocopiers and scanning their own faces, creating a distorted copy of their features. I painted these faces with watercolors and patterns, to reference my original inspiration.
Micro Happy pattern

I imagined what a feeling or emotion could look like if you were able to view them as physical objects under a microscope, like living microorganisms. The appearance of “happy” was created by combining and arranging different plant textures and colors into a lively design.
Fall of an Angel

This design was the conclusion of a mixed media experiment with a photo of a stained glass window, taken in a beautiful church in my country. I was playing with figures and religious imagery, and the experience resulted in such a diverse range of patterns and colors, it was as if an angel had fallen upon my inspiration.
