MONUMENT
There is something interesting about famous monuments.
Millions of people flock to them, visiting countries they
otherwise might not have heard of for the sole purpose of
seeing with their own eyes what has been shown to them
thousands of times before. The area these monuments are
built upon might have one day been as remote and unknown
as the the ones portrayed below, but now they are famous
landscapes framing the object that made them famous.
Could these monuments be placed anywhere and still make
their surroundings famous? Would civilisation build around
the wonders or would they simply be left to their own devices?
