Combat Paper Project- Colorado Springs
The Combat Paper Project is by far one of the most inspiring projects for returning veterans that I have witnessed in which veterans take the uniforms they served in combat in and transform them into paper which is used to share poetry, art, stories, etc. It is a project that creates a space to heal, share and find a sense of closure. You can find out more about the project from their website- www.combatpaper.org
The project tours around the country doing workshops with veterans and allies. The series below was from a workshop in Colorado Springs. It was published in a niche magazine called "Handmade Paper" and is available for further publication and licensing.
