In Beijing, we call narrow lanes 'Hutong(胡同)'. The houses on either side of the Hutong are called 'SiHeYuan(四合院)'. Some of the hutongs formed nearly 700 years ago and people are still living here. HuTongs in Beijing are full of stories.
