1936: SPANISH CIVIL WAR MURAL
Exhibition held in 2005-2006.
The centerpiece is a mural of 10 x 2 meters (see the small reproduction above these lines).
The exhibition describes the Spanish Civil War, focusing on the region of La Serena (Extremadura), and reflect on the causes of the conflict, its development and its implications ... In short, a review of Extremadura flavor to the whole history of the century XX in Spain, beginning with the stage of Alfonso XIII and ending in the current democracy.
For me it was a great deal of research, both documentary (bibliography, archives of photographs, newspapers...), and technical. It took more than a year to complete. The historical research was directed by the historian Antonio López.
Indeed, in total, spent more than 3500 images in the mural...
