This piece was made as my SmArt School assignment this semester. SmArt School is an online illustration program where you can choose a mentor to guide you through your process (about 13 sessions in aprox. 3 months). I choose Marc Scheff's program because it was a best fit for me and it gave me just a little push that I needed ➳ creating more complex compositions and adding environments to my characters. This assignment was to choose a narrative and create an appealing image - I chose Hans Christian Andersen's Thumbelina (because it was one my favourite stories while growing up).
