La vida es contínua, y todo lo que está estancado está inerte. El agua representa la vida mientras fluye, y es, además, un elemento vital que compone al ser humano. Tomando en cuenta esto nos dimos cuenta que la senectud no es el culmen de la vida, sino otra etapa de la misma, por ello representarla con un símbolo que no se asociara a la defunsión era una de los principales aspectos de la estrategia gráfica.
