Organic space within artificial environment
The Seed museum was a project set on the site of Tilbury Fort. The structure integrated both the fort and the natural environment.
The task was to create a sustainable museum which highlights or addresses a local environmental aspect such as the Thames or the indigenous wildlife.
I began by exploring the organic element of the site and determining how the indigenous life around the fort could be used or preserved by my architectural intervention
The images give an idea of how the project developed into a protective seed bank designed to preserve the wildlife and educate the importance of organic symbiosis within architecture
