The Springy is a CNC piece of coiled steel and a solid piece of american oak. The steel is coiled to fit a standard threaded mop handle, with a side coil to pinch a piece of fabric. The idea being that the fabric can be used with any cleaning solution or any fabric the user chooses. After cleaning the fabric can be washed and re-used.
With most modern "swift" mops, you end up on the floor with a rag cleaning up what the mop left behind. This is a combination of a very old and effective tool known as a cuban mop, with modern computer controlled wire forming.
The oak is heavy, durable, and stands up well to water. There is no finish on the wood, which allows the natural surface of the wood to grab onto the towel. The cantilever of the wood arm allows this to get into corners, behind table legs, up over door jams, or along overhead fan blades.
