Create a video for a song so that you can follow a visual score along the song. Represent all the instruments and the voices, its musical notes at the right moments. First, create a complete analogical score of the song. Then, create
a complete digital score with distinct representation for each element of the
song and an explanatory poster.

Realizar um vídeo para uma música de modo a visualizar-se uma partitura visual,
ou seja, o conjunto de todos os instrumentos e vozes, as suas notas nos momentos certos. Como base, realizou-se primeiro uma partitura analógica completa, depois uma partitura digital, já com indicações para cada elemento gráfico de forma
a estruturar já o vídeo, com um poster explicativo da representação escolhida
para cada instrumento ou voz.
Escolhi a música "O Seu Tipo" dos Filarmônica de Pasárgada:
Realizar um vídeo para uma música de modo a visualizar-se uma partitura visual,

For the final score, I decided to give the colors a form, manipulate it to create unpredictable results, such as the song itself. To make it possible, I used ink from several different colors to represent the instruments, associating each one to a specific color and an abstract form. Despite being unpredictable, the ink itself is not as dynamic as I wanted, so I tried to mix it with iron filings and make it move with a magnet under the card that served as the basis. With this technique, I managed to make the ink apparentely draw by itself.

Para a partitura final, resolvi dar uma forma às cores, manuseando-as, a fim
de poder ter resultados mais imprevisíveis tal como a própria música. Para isso, utilizei tintas de várias cores para representar os instrumentos, associando cada um a uma cor e uma forma abstracta específicas. Como a tinta em si é pouco dinâmica, apesar de imprevisível, experimentei misturá-la com limalha de ferro
e com um íman dar-lhe movimento por baixo do cartão que serviu de base. Com esta técnica consegui fazer com que a tinta desenhasse aparentemente por si própria.

In the packaging, I tried to transpose the two approaches used in the video to the physical and interactive component. The basis of the packaging was the white-painted wooden box, which symbolise the video white background.
In the FabLab Coimbra, I laser cut the song title and the band name in the cover for people to use it as a stencil like the ones used in the lyrics of the video. People could use this cover to promote the song in a personal and urban way, instead of only using the digital way (link and DVD): the video is a mix of both of the approaches, manual and digital. People should not be afraid of using the cover to paint wherever they want, so I painted myself the cover, simulating that I used it, so people could see that they should use it. I used the colors used at the masculine and feminine voices.

Na FabLab Coimbra cortei a laser o título da música e o nome da banda, a fim de fazer da capa um stencil como o usado na letra do vídeo. Com esta tampa, o público poderia utilizar a capa para divulgar o trabalho de uma forma mais urbana e pessoal, deixando a promoção de ser apenas digital (link e DVD), sendo que o vídeo utilizou as duas abordagens, manual e digital. Para o público entender que se trata de um stencil que deve ser utilizado, e também fornecer um aspecto apelativo
ao packaging, pintei à volta das letras, simulando a sua utilização, com as cores correspondentes às vozes masculina e feminina da letra do vídeo.
