Catholic devotees from all over the world bring palm leaves to attends Palm Sunday masses to commemorate Jesus triumphantly entry to Jerusalem, which means the beginning of dealings to his passion and death of Jesus.
Lot of Filipino carries palm fronds to be blessed in Quiapo church in Manila during Palm Sunday on 29 March 2015. Some of Filipinos take chance to make a business to sell palm leaves during eastern Sunday. They bought the palm leaves for Peso-700 - Peso-800 per sack to the truck that delivered in the area. They sell palm fronds for Peso-40.00 with a good percentage for their profit.
A Quiapo resident, 20-year old - Rodel Atencio who works to his relatives that sells palm leaves for Peso-40.00 each in any customized design requested by the customers, it takes 5-10 minutes before he finish one design. Rodel is making palm fronds for almost 5-years and he learns it from his relatives.
