Downhill Skateboard
(Modifying a Skateboard to Go High Speed)

New holes were drilled onto a regular skateboard to relocate the trucks on the kicks to increase the wheel base and turning radius. The board can now go up to 50 kmph without experiencing any wobble, more than twice as fast as before. The artwork was laser engraved to give depth to the graphics and keep the original feel of the wood used by the manufacturer.

Laser Engraved Artwork // Increased Wheel Base
Larger Turning Radius // Stable at 50 kmph

Longboard Brake Prototyping
(Project In Progess)

Learning how to longboard and using one for daily commute is potentially dangerous due to the difficult braking techniques and high speeds that can be achieved on one. I was asked to prototype a braking solution that can be retrofitted onto a longboard. A lot of testing, trial and error was required to determine the appropriate metal and rubber to be used.

Balance Boards

The idea was to have a simple activity for the college fest that introduces people to the balance aspect of sports like snowboarding, surfing and skateboarding using only repurposed materials (Plyboard and PVC Pipes). Additionally the objective for the board was to develop an original yet recognizable form.
