247 - Telephone
We all have played the game of telephone: The first player whispers a phrase or sentence to the next player. Each player successively whispers what that player believes he or she heard to the next. The last player announces the statement to the entire group. Errors typically accumulate in the retellings, so the statement announced by the last player differs significantly, and often amusingly, from the one uttered by the first. We decided to play the game visually. Each player created an art piece, based on a topic they themselves found interesting or significant. They then handed the piece to the next person, without telling them any specifics about the subject matter. The next person interpreted the piece, solely based on its visual form and message. This chain created a whole new story and some interesting results.
