The building site is a place typically disconnected from the city. Our proposition is to open them for the people. The fences, that obstruct the view are replaced with transparent glass fences. The new glass installation, covered with special projection film becomes the place of aninteractive projection.
People passing by are activating the projectors. The image being shown on the fence is the future building that will be build on the site. It is shown in the correct perspective for the people standing on the specific points.
People can easily see how the future building will fit into the surroundings - as they see it before it is actually built!
The touchscreen technology used on the fence allows the people to interact with the projection - they can learn about the building features such as sustainability, ecology or energy saving strategies.
Additional solution is the smartphone app. The app, using the camera, will generate a future view of the building. The users can easily move with the smartphone and see how the building looks from different points of view.
The application allows the users to click on building elements and read about them.
The presented concept uses existing technologies to create an innovative solution.
Both ideas invites public involvement by allowing them to interact with the projections.
The concept generates activity around the building site, as people will move with their smartphones to see the future building from different angles.
The solution is robust by using augmented reality technology, which allows to easily incorporate digital world into the real world.
The concept is easily realisable as it revolves around creating a glass wall with projectors, and a smartphone app.
The miniminal (low cost) version is just the smartphone app.
