Out 'n' about is a mobile application for Windows phone that links to the new Microsoft Band. When you're out on the highstreet in your favourite retailer, coffee shop or restraunt simply tap your NFC enabled handset at the check out. If there happens to be an offer or event on the next time you walk by we'll send you a coupon right to your wrist.

How it works:

 

The app utilises GPS co-ordinates from the band's GPS unit (longitude/latutde).

 

Each business can have multiple branches and each branch has it's own longitude/latitude.

 

Pythagoras is used to calculate the distance between the branch (that the user has previously liked) and the user's current location.

 

If the distance between the branch and the user is less than 10 meters and the branch has an offer on, a notification is pushed to the user's band.

 

Each notification has a glance with a claim button which presents the coupon to the user.
