Package Design: Keyboard Cover and Box
Public Awareness Project
I designed this keyboard cover and box for Design Methodology, a class stressing unorthodox methods of ideation. Our assignment was to choose a fairy tale and connect its underlying theme to a contemporary issue. I chose Hans and Gretel, the story of two children who survive by their wits, which I connected to the topic of online security. The outcome was a fictional public awareness project promoting online privacy through a free keyboard cover campaign. The keyboard cover, which plays on notions of hygeine and protection, urges students to “take command” of their data by taking basic security precautions.
