Mara Perspettivi is series of events featuring live performances, discussions, poetry and visual art exhibition spanning over
5 decades of Maltese art. The events based in Valletta-Malta was hosted during the month of March to celebrate 'Women'.
Throughout history, art has always had an intrinsic infatuation with women. It’s depicted them as virgins and as mothers – sometimes even as both. It’s turned them into nymphs, home wreckers, prostitutes and even into inanimate objects of beauty. As the Mara Perspettivi took place for the first time, the branding was meant to reflect on this.
The festival needed a complete branding that would support the curation and quality of the events and at the same time connect both gender target audience. This was achieved through clear and functional poster, programs and timetables for those who transited throught the various events.
The design itself is kept intentionally flat, using only typography and colours. The pink and black background highlight the positive energy of the festival and give a glimpse of something strange, new and energetic.
