Illustration for an excerpt of James Ellroy's book Blood's a Rover, later published in 2009 as the final volume of the Underworld USA Trilogy. Ellroy is an American crime fiction writer and essayist and the author of the aclaimed books Black Dahlia and L.A. Confidential. The illustration was later published by Art Box International on the Japanese illustration annual New Illustrators File: Volume 9.
