Future home/studio

Project Explanation:
For one of my university assignments, I created a detailed illustration of my future home & studio. It represents a giant teapot, with three floors of living area and a hidden studio at the attic. The reason for this is my slight tea addiction. As a matter of fact, I love drinking tea so much that I even have a cup of it tattooed on my arm.

In my illustrated future, I have distanced myself from technology and the fuss of the busy city life, and have become closer to nature in order to search for peace, solitude and harmony. I have surrounded myself with my favourite things- cupboards full of art supplies and fine selection of teas and libraries, containing my favorite authors' books.

Project Development
Firstly, I started with basic outlining of the teapot shape. I chose some really contrasting colours to help me distinguish the different sections. I continued with adding furniture. Once I had more detail to work with, I chose a more complex colour scheme and started illustrating the background. Finally, I added gradients and textures.
