1 Concept: In-Between
Everything is an In-Between: a tangible thing is always in-between other two things, a period in time is in-between two periods of time, photography is a machine in-between the artist and the subject, an imagination is in-between all the other imaginations of the world, a bubble of air is in-between larger bubbles of air in our space.

In-between the ineluctable busyness of our lives, we seek a quietness to rejuvenate. In-between times of tough and joy, we yearn for an emotion- less moment to get lost into. In-between yesterday and tomorrow, we yearn to enjoy the best of the world that is given to us today.

Daisetsuzan National Park X Hiroshi Sugimoto is a collaboration aimed to spread the way of seeing to the rest of the world; to see in-between, and to immerse ourselves into the blurred horizons (using nature).
2 Visual Identity System: The Logo In-Between
The slit in the middle portrays its allowance for light and natural matter into its space, the space where many things can be filled in. It is not empty, nor lonely. It is a space in-between two structures and companions. The ambiguity of the logo gives space for floating thoughts, time, space and imagination. The slit gives access to the restricted and the hidden of one.

The nothingness of the logo allows for freedom for anything to be filled in it. This openness to change and interpretation gives the creative mind a space to do anything and be anyone.
3 Visual Identity System: Seeing Through In-Betweens
In order to showcase a deeper essence of the item that is contained in-between, a transparent strip will be applied to it's packaging (also resonating/elevating to its logo). The purity of the contained elements can be seen as light passes through.

4 Spatial Design: In-Between In Space
A white, curved space, with transparent doors and windows.

Being in the space allows for a containment of ourselves. Just like the container given, we are able to appreciate and know that we are In-Between walls and the people in it are as important as nature. We interact, we talk and we fill the room, allowing light to fall on us. The light casts through the strip In-Between, casting shadows. highlighting emptiness, presence, or whatever there is to be emphasized. It is a void waiting to be filled.
5 Advertising: Be Immersed In-Between
Be Immersed In-Between is the advertising concept that this collaboration will take. Letting Nature Speak while one is immersed In-Between its wondrous nature.

The posters lets nature speak—with a beautiful landscape of Daisetsuzan National Park. The spaces on both sides of the poster places the viewer physically and mentally (voidness of the sides) In-Between with nature as one is looking at it.
