Arghyam, wanted Handesign to design an innovative, yet educative medium to make aware issues related to water & sanitation. This project would reached out to 200 rural schools in Karnataka.
Designed as a floor game, this would work best as a collective game for a group of children. The group of children could be both participants-observers. The game was produced on a material that was durable, economical, portable and easy to use, especially in rural schools.
I hope you like it too, as did the children who used them and the President, Mr Barack Obama! :)
From ideation to design, illustration and production, this project was an end to end involvement by the team at Handesign and myself.
This was a poster made for an adult audience in villages across Karnataka (South India). The text is in a regional language: Kannada. The poster depicted an 'Ideal Village' thus making it feasible for both minimally literate & an illiterate audience to grasp the message. These posters were distributed in Gram Panchayaths.
