For the Collages I used a mixture of old b/w Photos of my grandparents and parents in their childhood and some free source pictures from the internet.
This project is all about the german word "Heimat".
Before I started with the magazine itself I asked many people about the word "Heimat" by interview (e.g. What's does it mean to you?, Is there as special place or feeling you would connect to the word heimat? etc.) In the first part I did a research about the origin of the word, conflicts, problems and some philosophical aspects. The second part contains the interviews and questions I asked different people all around germany.
