Designed as simple, modular, and visually attractive object, Byke base, should provide new meeting point not only for cyclist, but also for all the people of Ljubljana who want to spend some time close to the nature. Nearnes of very frequent street and old bicycle paths determined in a great measure objects position and orientation. Object is positioned not so close to the street with high trees between them, which should minimize negative effects of traffic. For the same reason is the center of new meeting point positioned opposite from the street, and looks on the center of the park. Path that leed to the to the Byke Base is visually emphasized using the wooden planks. Two TRIMO modular space units are used for this project, one for the coffee shop and another for the bike service. Using additional structure allowed both units to be curved a little, which provides them better angle for the use of sunlight. Different usage of these two units is visually emphasized by using different colors for the interiors. On the top of the units are solar panels that produce power for battery charging and automats in coffee shop. Unit where the coffee shop is, during the night can be used as a stage for musicians, stand up comedians and other entertainers.
