Ex-student Dan Sutherland who worked in the industry for a couple of years, visited our university and set us a brief around music. The aim was to come up with a new concept of listening to music, that would reintroduce the artwork that was long gone with the digitization of music.

The Concept
In a group of three individuals Natalia Faunch, Sophie Chapman and Julia Ivanszky (myself), we decided to reintroduce sharing music to kids. The idea was to make music more interesting than just listening to it. We picked as an audience children aged 9-11 and came up with the concept of a musical USB card game called BREAKBiTZ. The game is similar to Top trumps with the difference that each card has a USB card on the back. The special edition box set we designed was Disney themed, and the songs on the cards were hand picked popular songs. Each card can then be played on a device which would bring up the video clip of the track on screen. These cards can be exchanged, played with and shared with others. The three special edition card pack are Classical Disney, Disney Princesses and Modern Disney (2000+). These are then inserted into a special edition book alike box to be sold.
The Special Edition book box set. Includes one of the three special edition card packs and musical cards depending on the card pack edition.
Three special edition card packs. Modern Disney (+2000) , The classical Disney and The disney princesses.
The artwork on the cards were photographs of paper crafting made by one of the student members in my group.
The usb bits that come out from the back of the card.
When the USB is plugged into a device the video clip of the track is shown on screen.
