Design Responsibly is a series of booklets created by myself and three other designers. The goal was to provide a valuable resource for amateur or student designers. These booklets give helpful tips and knowledge about the design process that aren’t aesthetic, rather critical steps within the programs that every designer should know.
The series consists of Prepress, Illustration, Grids and Layout, and Typography. As a team we created the concept, name and tagline, general grid and styles, folio and treatment of images. We then created the individual booklets, putting as much of our personal style in as we could while keeping the consistency of the series. The cover was a collaboration, solving the problem of a consistent look while being able to fit all of our titles in the allocated space, and showcasing the other booklets as well. The icons were created by each individual designer, as well as the design that went in the large space below the title.
