Slam Poetry Book Project

Pitch

To Slam or Not to Slam is a poetry event that occurs at Sisler High School every month. Current and former Sisler students write poems individually or in groups on any topic as they wish. These poems can be in any form of poetry. Performers stylize their poems according to their preference and perform at the Slam. These performances are recorded and the videos are put on YouTube link, To Slam or Not to Slam. At each Slam about 25-30 people perform. The first Slam was held in October, then in November and lately in February. At the end of this year, the written works of all the performers is going to be put in a book and we are planning to use the AR app to connect the YouTube videos to the poems of the individual so, that when a person reads the poem they can use their smart device to see the performer present in his/her style to better understand the tone or see their expressions.
