DELIVERABLES: Mobile applications global style guide creation for iOS and Android. Definition of all branded Patterns and UI Elements, incluidng wireframes for all elements, screens and patterns + copy detailing usage and best practices.
DELIVERABLES: Mobile applications global style guide creation for iOS and Android. Definition of all branded Patterns and UI Elements, incluidng wireframes for all elements, screens and patterns + copy detailing usage and best practices.
This project involved the revision, restructure and addition of all missing elements to create a solid global style guide for all adidas mobile applications, to help agencies develop apps in a faster, cost-efficient and brand-consistent way.
The project "Designing for Mobile Apps" consisted in creating initially 2 style guides, one per each major platforms (iOS & Android). Each Platform Style Guide contains Branding information, as well as branded designs (with full specifications) for the most common UI Elements and clearly detailed Branded Patterns.
Together with each style guide we provided:
- 5 downloadable UI Kits for each of adidas sub-brands, so all agencies could reuse the final design materials.
- 5 downloadable UI Kits for each of adidas sub-brands, so all agencies could reuse the final design materials.
- Implemented UI components are also available, so agencies can reuse the code and avoid constant re-creation of transitions, animations and behaviuors.
Finally, although extensively detailed, this style guide is now just the foundation for a living platform which we, together with Sedric Sylvester, Art Director of the Mobile Team and responsible for the visual style and all graphical elements, plan to continuosly update, in response to new technologies, requests from agencies, usage pattens and UI trends.
