In this series, I redesigned the covers for Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, and And The Mountains Echoed. I worked to keep the three book covers consistent as a series but individual as books; they all feature gray backgrounds and black silhouettes to speak to the overall somber tones of the books, but they also have notes of hope, as represented by the yellow lines. I worked with symbolism and picked out one of the most important symbols in each book to feature on the cover.
