GIF Jockey is a desktop application for creating live VJ performances. You are able to drag animgif images into the application window, translate, rotate, mirror or duplicate them. With building up compositions from animated GIFs you can build up living images or tell stories live. The application was developed for a series of VJ performances commissioned by musician Alpakka.

For the performance, we collected animated GIFs from the internet and made remixes from them illustrating the music Alpakka produced on a piano with a towel around his neck.
