This is from a school project that they do every year for the USC Design Program. We get to read the book that will be given to the next semester's incoming freshmen and design a poster that will go on display around campus. My design is a minimalist illustration of one of the Greenie characters (named so because they painted their heads green) from the book. The Greenies brought even more chaos to an already chaotic world, where death from old age had been eliminated. They set out to remind people that they were not immortal and not free from pain. They reminded me a bit of Leonetto Capiello's poster design for Maurin Quina alcohol, which is where I drew inspiration from. Our year they even took the winning poster design and printed a limited edition of books with that poster as the cover. My design did not win, but it did make it to the final 8.
