Slow Brixham
Nikon D800, 24mm, f/22, ISO 100, 121 seconds
I took this shot on a dreary day in September whilst visiting family in Devon. Captured on a grey morning, Brixham is a hilly town built around the harbour which remains a dock for fishing trawlers and home to a replica of Golden Hind. I love to visit Brixham as there's always something going on and it looks beautiful in all weathers.
A single exposure image taken with neutral density filter to increase exposure time which smoothed the sea and sky. As it was a breezy day this captured the moving boats and masts as a blur whilst stationary objects remain sharp. A touch of processing in Photoshop to bring out the details, add some soft toning and increase contrast to bring out the stormy feel.
