Beacon For “摇一摇”
“Shake” is a very interesting feature in Wechat .Shake your phone to find people, why not to shake for useful imformation as well?
Sure, we set up a solution for "shake" to connect the beacons settled nearby, which could be uesed in promotion events and shopping mall .
At the beginning ,I thought about several things for this design , firstly, it should be light eough to be attached on wall or poster.Secondly, it should be tough enough to afford dropping from a place 2.5 metres high, at least. What's more, it can afford a bit water since it will rain sometimes. The last but not least, it should be cheap enough for a mass production.
In this case ,I supposed to use EVA (a foam) which could be shaped from injection modeling and I find a supplier which OEMs pad case for children. And we started to make prototypes for testing.
Unfortunately,EVA can fix all the requirement as above ,however , it cannot reach a precision we need. As this resault , I have to change back to ABS+PC for the housing.
Even it's not a sucessful case for new materials , though it's obiviously an interesting case for studying EVA.
