The Warrego, a typographic journey
This is a typographic representation of a journey.The journey had to based on Cockatoo Island. Through my research I discovered that the first Australian Naval Destroyer was built on Cockatoo Island, when the island had been transformed from a jail to the shipbuilders and shipyards. The Warrego was this first ship. The parts were made in Glasgow and shipped out to Australia. The first section is the crew list from that voyage. The second section is an abridged list of the men that assembled these parts on Cockatoo Island. The third section is a list of all the commanding officers that served time on the Warrego. The final section notes when the Werrego was de-commissioned and destroyed.
