Cisco WebEx Navigation Redesign

Navigation design for WebEx.com
(www.webex.com)

New navigation was launched with the site redesign in Sep 2014. WebEx.com decided to move to a Catalog style model for the website. The new navigation features 3 broad categories Products and Pricing, Learn and About Us. It was a departure from the old model of promoting the flagship product WebEx Meetings.

This new structure enabled the organization to add new products easily. Since the redesign (Sep 2014) there were 2 new products added (CMR and Project Squared). It was easy to absorb these changes due to the flexible menu structure.

This new redesign embraced flat design to keep with the current trend and has a simplified color palette from the green and blue that was used before.
The new Cisco WebEx word mark lock up was created in adherence to the Cisco Brand guidelines. It is a dramatic difference from the old lockup and is now in line with other Cisco Brands like Cisco Meraki, Cisco Project Squared etc.
The new navigation now has 3 primary menu items aimed at Product discovery, general education and company details. With this redesign, the company also added 'Search' to the navigation. With this new feature and additional SEO meta data setup, there was a 70% increase in organic traffic to the website, thereby dramatically increasing the number of people now visiting.
The products and pricing menu is the a critical navigation path to all the Product pages that are catered through WebEx.com. This menu was built to be scalable and help easy addition of products to the online portfolio. A simple differentiation at the bottom highlights the 2 links that are not Product pages.
The global navigation was differentiated from the primary navigation since it captured more generic links to help the user get to their destination. FAQs and Support links were included here to make it easy for the user to get help if needed, with a number listed right at the top. The Country dropdown was formatted to look different from the primary menus, since it belonged to a different category of navigation.
