Project 1: The Window Movie Poster

First I went to google to look up photos that I could possibly use in the movie poster. I first found the window that had good contrast colors that would be easier to use when selecting with the quick selection tool with the option add to selection selected since there are different panels in the windows that needed to be selected. Then I found the mountains with also had a good contrast but the mountains were pink which I wanted a bright color to make the movie poster pop. With the mountains I used the magic wand tool to select the background in the picture and placed it behind the window. Next, I went to good and had to find pink and bright colored storm clouds in order to match the mountains which I found. I just places this behind the mountains and resized the lightning bolts by using the free transform tool in the Edit dropdown and resized with holding the shift key. I realized that the image looked pretty blank so I added a head that had a white background which again was easy to hide by using the magic wand tool. Finally with all of the pictures were in from google I just had to in my text and ratings. I used the horizontal type tool to make the title, strap line, director, and showing date (which I decided to put just the date on the poster based off of other posters I looked up like Twilight). Finally I just added the rating which we used in the lab and then also put the studio logo which both were placed in the poster as vectors.
