A book covers project for a typography class. The objective was to make a series of book covers on any topic, but to use mainly type in its design. The books were to be about major wine-growing regions in the West, but outside of Europe. California, Australia, and Argentina were the most important regions in this category. Much of this inspiration for this came after being in the wine country of Sonoma and Napa for a family member's birthday and listening to people at wineries talking about their wines. I realized that this wasn't just another product for these people, but a real source of pride and accomplishment. Ultimately I aimed for a seamless integration of type and image on the cover, by having wine bursting out of bottles to form the titles.
