KOKODA - Feature Film 2006

Based on the true story of a platoon of Australian soldiers lost in the jungle of Papua New Guinea during the fighting of an epic battle against the Japanese in 1942. Conceived, produced and released in less than a year, it was one of the top five highest grossing Australian films of 2006. Colin Fraser from Filmink praising it, ‘Kokoda draws comparisons with Gallipoli if for no other reason than it will come to be similarly regarded as a landmark in Australian cinema’.

The DVD cover from the UK - they called it the '39th Battalion". Sales have been very strong
