A Penguin Classics Design
The objective of this project was to create and design a new Penguin Classics book series based on a concept of our choosing. The series required intensive research, full jacket design, and original copy for each book.
Researching and summarizing upwards of 1,500 Penguin Classics titles was nosmall task, but through this research I began to see a trend in the novels thatdealt with supreme power. The novels I chose best represented the inescapable corruptionthat lies within absolute power. Each novel follows the progression ofseemingly Utopian societies as they are succumbing to, or being revealed as,evil. Alternatively, each story includes a protagonist that stands against thiswicked power and discovers how their decisions affect their fate.
