This is a short video on Anti Fruits Discrimination done for a school module, Moving Image for Still Photographers in 2014. 

 

The initial idea came by when the artist was working on a book series titled In the eyes of the beholder which deals with fruit/food cosmetic filtering process, a common practice in the global market.

 

As consumers pick fruits / foods that look the freshest and prettiest; it led to me wondering whether fruits will think like us if they could have a mind of their own. Will they want to undergo plastic surgery to make themselves beautiful? Hence, I fuse plastic surgery and fruits together to create a whole new catergory of 'pretty' fruits.
