The Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) is an Asian Oceanian College robot competition, founded in 2002 by Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union. In this competition robots compete to complete a task within a set period of time. The contest aims to create bonding among young people with similar interests who will lead their countries in the 21st century, as well as help advance engineering and broadcasting technologies in their regions. The event first happens at the national and then the international level.
This year 2014, the theme was parenthood. Since this concept is too humane, visual representation of it wouldn’t match with this mechanical & strategical event.

Hence the concept of its identity is to graphically represent the actual event by celebrating the grid (boxy)
nature of the robots, its randomness and the concept of isometry (the basic method of diagrammatic representation used by the engineers.)
