This project was completed in Fall 2014. When researching the program of Urban Farming, it became quickly apparent that the need for urban farming in general is growing. This is the inspiration of my concept of prototyping, and developing the beginning to urban farming success. I developed prototypes for program, farming (with included circulation) and circulation. These three can be combined in multitudes of ways to create engaging and interesting spaces, all based around the success of an efficient aeroponic urban farm. By using the J.F.K. Bridge site, I was able to develop a structure that would display the prototypes to the public and allow people to engage with the building in various ways. This would bring attention to the prototypes in hopes they could be replicated and used in cities all over the world.
